Welcome to Holbein Racing!

Adam Holbein started his racing career in 2002 racing motocross. In 2004 he moved into Quarter Midgets racing throughout the midwest in the 120, 160 and AA classes. Now in 2009 he has ventured into the Modified class running at Columbus Motor Speedway making his debut May 2, 2009.

5/15/2010 - Rookie Adam Holbein in the Lonnie Rush prepared # 71 Super Cup car raced in Ona, West Virginia and qualified 3rd!!! Adam started outside row one and lead the first six circuits before yielding to Peck. Holbein finished fourth after getting caught up in a hurricane, that is the # 75 of Jody "Hurricane" Harrison who got into the back of the #71 while battling for second which spun Adam and got into the wall.

Way to go Adam and Team!!!

4/17/2010 - GREAT NEWS!!! Adam will be driving the #71 car in the Super Cup series for Lonnie Rush this Saturday at Columbus Motor Speedway! We are all very excited for this great opportunity and can't wait! The new Modified car will not be run this weekend due to the motor blowing in last weeks race. Unfortunately, we have not had any luck finding another engine yet. ENGINE SPONSORS are always WELCOME! ;-)

WOW, Adam qualified 3rd fast out of about 14 cars in the Super Cup Series at Columbus Motor Speedway and will be starting 3rd!!! Way to go Adam!!!

WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! Adam finished 3rd in the Super Cup Feature and even got up to 2nd at one time. Car developed a push but Adam did his job and drove his butt off... Excellent job Adam and Crew!!! We are very proud of you!!!

4/10/2010 - 1st Race Day is in the books. Adam qualified 14th out of 22 cars with a loose car. The crew quickly went to work and tightened up the car for the heat race. Adam started 6th and within 3 laps was in 2nd place looking at the leader and was running strong and the Holbein Chassis was on Rails!!! The white flag flew an...d then Adam's motor Blew!

It was a somewhat disappointing finish to what started out as a great inaugural run in the new Holbein Chassis! The Car handled EXCELLENT and we were very satisfied and impressed with the performance of the Holbein Chassis's first race. Not too bad for a chassis and car that was built from the ground up by a 18 year old! We will work on getting a motor for next week's race, ENGINE SPONSORS are always WELCOME! ;-)

4/8/2010 - Well the 2nd day of practice was both relieving and rewarding! Apparently the gearing was off yesterday which was causing the lower RPM's and the stalling and sputtering coming out of the corners because once we changed the gear ratio, the car just launched out of the corners! Today's lap times were the fastest we have... ever ran and it was only 50 degrees outside and the track was still very green so we are VERY excited about the upcoming season! Our First race is this Saturday so come out and watch some exciting racing at Columbus Motor Speedway and see history in the making!

4/7/2010 - The first test in the new car went very well and shows allot of promise for the upcoming season! Lap times on a green track just weeks after being covered in snow were just as fast as the fastest laps last season on a well seasoned track in great weather! That was even with a couple issues like RPM's being almost 2000 lower than last year and also an issue with the motor stalling and sputtering and the car not really taking off until half way down the straight away. Handling was excellent and the car really responded to chassis adjustments very well.

Everyone here at Holbein Racing is very excited and anxious and would like to thank everyone that has worked so hard with us over the winter.

Holbein Racing will be sporting a new Holbein Chassis for the 2010 season

The 2009 season proved to be a successful transition from Quarter Midgets to the Modified division at Columbus Motor Speedway for Adam Holbein and Holbein Racing.

After running the 2009 season in an older dirt car, it was apparent after the first few races that the older Dirt Chassis was a good entry point but lacked the adjustments necessary to competitively run on Asphalt. Adam did a fabulous job racing the car and handled it better than other more experienced drivers which shows his talent.

Since Adam built his own Quarter Midget working with Brand X Chassis, he felt that he obtained the necessary experience to build his own Modified Race Car. So after the 2009 season finished, the plans started to take shape for the new Modified Chassis for the 2010 season.
